The proposed rise tower in Riyadh is set to become the world’s tallest building, soaring over two kilometers high-more than twice the height of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

The tower is part of project rise – Lumenis, a visionary development that aligns with Saudi Arabia’s vision 2030, the kingdom’s national plan to diversify its economy, reduce reliance on oil, and position itself as a global hub for business and tourism. The name ” Lumenis”, derived from latin word for “light”, symbolizes transformation and progress.

Recognized with the 2025 WAFX prize for climate and energy innovation, Rise Tower stands for its sustainable design, energy efficiency, and integration of smart technologies.

The project represents Saudi Arabia’s renewed ambition to lead in architectural innovation after delays in Jeddah tower project. The skyscraper will serve as the centerpiece of the north pole project, a futuristic 306 square kilometer development north of Riyadh.

Envisioned as a connected ecosystem, the north pole will feature residential areas, business districts, cultural landmarks, and educational centers powered by renewable energy.

Backed by the Public Investment Fund [PIF], which also supports NEOM and the red sea project, Rise Tower is estimated to cost around five billion dollars. Once complete, it aims to redefine global architecture and cement Riyadh’s place as a beacon of innovation and modernity.
