A former Pakistani player and spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq has made a controversial remark against Indian cricket team by saying India is not good team if they play more cricket against Pakistan.
Who is Saqlain Mushtaq ?
Saqlain Mushtaq is a Pakistani cricket coach and former international cricketer also the head coach of the Pakistani national cricket team between 2021 and 2022. He is master in bowling the ” doosra”, a leg break delivery bowled with an off break action. He played 49 tests and takes 208 wickets with an average of 30. He also hold the record of fastest 200 and 250 wickets in ODIs. 
He is the first Pakistani player to have Hat trick in world cup against Zimbabwe in 1999.
Controversy over his recent statement.
Apart from his cricketing records now he came in limelight for his recent statement and now he challenged the board of cricket council of India (BCCI) , saying if Indian cricket team is that of good then they should play 10 tests, 10 ODIs, 10 t20s against Pakistan. he also added if this happens, reality will come to forefront regarding which side is better between the two.
India recently thrashed Pakistan by six wickets in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. The no contest led to several fans said that the rivalry between India and Pakistan is overrated, as Pakistan keeps falling to pose a challenge in front of star stubbed Indian line up.
However, he also added that if the Pakistan side manages to get its house in order, nothing can stop the side from proving its metal in cricket landscape.
Speaking on the 24 News HD channel, he said that ” if we keep political things aside, their players are very good, and they have been playing good cricket. If you are really good team, I think let’s play 10 tests, 10 ODIs, 10 t20s against Pakistan, then everything would be clear.”
